Hello there! I’m Gayoung BB Yang, and I’m thrilled to take you on a journey through my world of storytelling. Born in South Korea, my fascination with stories ignited at an early age, sparked by endless hours immersed in books and television shows.

My passion for storytelling led me to pursue studies at the prestigious Korea National University of Art, where I underwent rigorous training akin to a military boot camp, albeit without the uniforms! It was there that I honed my skills and nurtured my creative spirit, laying the foundation for my future endeavors.

Seeking to delve deeper into the world of animation, I set my sights on Canada and embarked on a new adventure at the Vancouver Film School. It was an exhilarating experience, and I had the privilege of contributing to beloved shows such as “Carmen Sandiego” and “Snoopy in Space.” Yet, amidst the hustle and bustle of the animation industry, a longing persisted—a desire to create stories of my own.

Listening to the whispers of my inner child, I made the bold decision to pursue my dreams of writing and illustrating children’s books. My mission? To craft tales that evoke the same sense of wonder and companionship that enriched my own childhood.

With a graphic novel series slated for release in 2025, I am embarking on an exciting new chapter, merging my animation expertise with my lifelong passion for storytelling. Get ready to be transported to whimsical worlds, filled with enchanting adventures and unforgettable characters.

I bought this book for my grandchildren and they really loved this book. I read it and enjoyed it myself. I ended up buying more "Convertible Dream" books for all my grandchildren. It is a very nice story and it can be read by any age. The characters are so cute and I became a fan being a grandpa!

This was a very nice story, characters are very cute. It's a children's book but it can read by any age. The story, the illustrations, characters, it's got a very good story line. I highly recommend this book to not just children but to anyone who enjoys a nice story with cute characters. I will be recommending this to my friends and family for sure!

Wowwwww!!! I love this book! I chose this book myself and also to share with my kiddos (in my class). This story is like a move taking us a journey to find a "Genuin" happiness in our lives. It's heart warming, touching and humorous as well. Will get more copies for my loved ones as a gift, for sure.

I love the story and the drawing!!

I'm an ECE teacher and bought this book for the children in my classroom. The kids love the story and also the characters in the book, such as a giraffe, turtle, and dog. It's even a fun story for adults; you can relate to your life and find some humor in the story. I highly recommend this book for you and your children!

Although this book is geared towards children, it has an inspiring message for adults chasing their dreams. Not only was the storyline great, but I loved the illustrations, too!

I found the book an eye-opening story defining the effects of parental abuse and negligence. I show how children suffering from domestic violence can develop coping mechanisms to reduce their suffering.

The book’s relatability is amazing! Many people in the USA have gone through similar experiences as the protagonist. This story can give them hope and strength.

I like the story’s scary tone-twisting narrative. Mark’s character and fate both reflect what happens to people like him in real life.
